DisplayLink technology makes it easy to connect any display to any computer that supports USB, providing universal solutions for a range of enterprise, home and embedded applications where easy screen connectivity is required. DisplayLink enables a cost-effective and simple extension of the visual workspace, also known as “plug and display”.

DisplayLink has a range of ICs that support various technological requirements, from USB2 to USB3, Ethernet and a wide range of monitor resolutions from HD (1920×1080) to UHD (3840×2160), Cinema 4K (4096×2160) and 5K (5120×2880). DisplayLink ICs support all common monitor interfaces such as VGA, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort (DP). Modules are also available for direct connection to LCD-TFT displays.

DisplayLink DL-6000 Series

USB-C: Scalable display connectivity with DL-6950
The DL-6950 offers support for two 4Kp60 displays via any USB 3.x interface, such as USB-A, Micro-A or USB-C. Other non-PC platforms such as Mac, Chrome OS, Ubuntu or Android are also supported. The number of displays can be further increased by connecting additional DisplayLink-enabled products to the PC via USB-A or USB-C connections or downstream USB hubs.

The DL-6950 is also fully compatible with the USB-PD standard and allows laptops or tablets to be charged and docked via a single cable.

Flexible video interfaces

The DL-6950 has a total of four display outputs; two DP++ (Dual Mode DP 1.2) and two HDMI 2.0 interfaces are integrated in the device. Only two outputs are active at any one time.

This enables direct support for DP and HDMI monitors, the most widely used interfaces. As the HDMI 2.0 outputs are available, connection to HDMI 2.0 or earlier HDMI 1.x interfaces is possible.
